Police arrested 5 peaceful protesters in Kaduna

Officers of the Nigerian Police Force have on Wednesday 26th June 2019 arrested three men and two women who participated in the peaceful protest organized by the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in their unrelenting demand for the unconditional release of the leader of the Movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).

The protest was conducted peacefully today in various cities and towns of Nigeria, including Kaduna. However, after the closing of the protest in Kaduna, the police arrested 5 of the protesters on their way home.

Every citizen have the right to participate in any peaceful protest. We therefore, call on the police to immediately release the arrested brothers and sisters.
